Enhance your knowledge, advance your career, build professional connections and make the most of your OCBA membership.
Are you looking for a way to be more involved in OCBA activities? Find the committee that is right for you!
The OCBA’s committees keep members informed of significant developments in their areas of practice and shape association policy on issues of professional concern. Participation in a committee is a great way to meet your peers and to show your support and interest in your area of practice.
Committee members gather, usually once a month, to discuss developments within substantive areas of the law and react to or suggest changes to improve the legal system. Networking, and sharing ideas and tips from fellow OCBA members are just a few of the benefits you can expect from committee participation. In addition to regular business meetings, many committees host special events and fun off-site social activities.
Each year the board of directors selects a committee(s) that has made significant contributions to the OCBA, its members and/or the legal profession during the year. The committee(s) is presented with the Committee of the Year award at the OCBA’s Annual Meeting in June. Congratulations to the Probate, Estate & Trust Committee for being selected as the 2015-2016 Committee of the Year!
We invite you to learn more about the dozens of committees organized and run by OCBA members, for OCBA members, with support from OCBA staff liaisons. To join a committee email the staff liaison listed in the committee description.
