The OCBA's Family Law and Real Estate Law Committee present a seminar covering the common issues in a divorce proceeding.
A HOUSE DIVIDED: SPOTTING REAL ESTATE ISSUES IN DIVORCE PROCEEDINGS
Divorce not only ends a legal partnership between spouses; it can end the ownership of real property for one or both of them. This seminar covers common real estate issues in divorce proceedings such as the transfer of property through a divorce decree, the effect on a mortgage, and the use of quit claim deeds. This seminar will also cover the constitutionality of current proposed state legislation regarding dower.
Seminar speakers are attorneys Tobias Lipski of Schneiderman and Sherman; Dion E. Roddy of Bowyer and Midtgard P.C.; and Lisa D. Stern of Hertz Schram P.C.
