Description: This seminar will provide attorneys with the toolkit they need to defend a client against a child’s forensic interview statements in MCR 3.92 hearings. Topics of discussion will include:

  • a review of the forensic interview protocol
  • how to find an expert and then elicit effective expert testimony;
  • steps to take if the child recants on the stand in a parallel proceeding 

Attorneys on the criminal assignment list will receive one credit for attending this seminar.
