The OCBA presents its all-new "Court Rules" series detailing best practices in the courtroom. This month's presentation covers civil cases in Oakland County Circuit Court.
Speakers: Honorable Martha D. Anderson, Honorable Shalina D. Kumar, and Honorable Phyllis McMillen; and J. Scot Garrison, Judicial Staff Attorney for Judge Rae Lee Chabot.
Course Description: Each “Court Rules” seminar provides a unique primer on best advocacy practices in Oakland County Courts from the court personnel who work there. The first half of each session is presented by a judicial staff attorney on effective motion practice and other pretrial matters. The second part is a moderated panel of judges discussing the do’s and don’ts of representing a client in their courtrooms.
This seminar is part of the OCBA U - programs designed to help new lawyers grow their careers by teaching them the knowledge and skills they need.
Fee: $40 per session.
