“As a new attorney, I turn to the OCBA for professional development seminars and networking opportunities. When COVID-19 hit, the OCBA seamlessly transitioned into a virtual format to continue providing meaningful content and connections to its members. During this time of social distancing and working from home, I am so thankful for my OCBA community.” - Kaitlyn Elias
Throughout its 87-year history, the OCBA has empowered our members to navigate and excel in the rapidly-changing legal profession through networking opportunities, resources and education.
COVID-19 has had a dramatic impact on the way we practice law. We have been isolated from the courts, our colleagues and even our clients. We have had to try to keep up with changing court protocols, new administrative orders and the use of technology. As we transition back out of the pandemic, we’ll need to be prepared to adapt again.
As the largest voluntary bar association in Michigan, the OCBA provides connections to the legal community, the courts, professional development opportunities, and timely information on changes in the law, legal procedures and practice.
We invite you to join the OCBA and stay connected to the profession that you love.
THERE IS NO BETTER TIME TO JOIN THE PREMIER ORGANIZATION FOR LEGAL PROFESSIONALS IN OAKLAND COUNTY.
As the courts open back up, it will be important to keep up with changing court protocols and how technology is being used going forward. Not only can the OCBA help you stay informed, but the OCBA also provides the opportunity for you to help shape a positive image of the profession, make connections with your peers and colleagues, and help educate the public about the law and your role as a lawyer.
New lawyers can take advantage of the OCBA's free trial membership.+
