Many veterans and/or their families and those appointed to care for them or their estates are unaware of the disability benefits to which the veterans are entitled. This information would be particularly helpful to lawyers whose practice areas include family law, elder law, guardianships and conservatorships, social security and estate planning. Topics of discussion will include underlying statutes and available disability benefits for veterans; procedures for requesting disability benefits; challenging denial of disability benefits; benefits to non-service connected veterans and their relatives
