Bonnie Beutler Outstanding New Lawyer Award

Established: 2015
Purpose: The award is made to a new lawyer who does not necessarily have to sit on the New Lawyers Council, but is a member of the New Lawyers Committee. It offers recognition for a new lawyer who creates a comfortable environment and camaraderie for the newest lawyers to join the OCBA and who tackles projects with enthusiasm.
Awarded: Annually at the OCBA Annual Meeting
Criteria:
- Lawyer practicing less than 10 years
- Clearly goes out of his or her way to make the newest lawyers feel comfortable at bar-sponsored events
- Takes an enthusiastic approach to volunteering for and implementing bar projects
- Charitable or community activities outside of the practice of law may also be considered
How to Nominate: Letter of nomination illustrating why nominee fits the criteria.
Selection Process: Award recipient will be selected from candidates by committee comprising New Lawyer Committee (NLC) chair, NLC board liaison, and OCBA NLC liaison.
