Over the past few weeks, we have all been following updates around COVID-19 and have undoubtedly felt its impact on our daily lives. During this unprecedented time, many of us have had to make decisions that we never saw coming. As the safety and well-being of our community is top priority.
The Signature Event, which is the Foundation’s cornerstone event and largest fundraiser, was originally scheduled for April 30, 2020. After monitoring the nation’s situation and discussing our options for the upcoming event, the trustees made the decision to postpone the 21st Annual Signature Event to September 10, 2020. As with all of you, we look forward to this evening each year and this decision wasn’t made lightly. We are keeping a positive attitude that our situation will be much brighter at that time and we will be ready to celebrate once again with all our friends.
If you have secured a sponsorship for this year’s event, we will still be utilizing that contribution for this fall event. If you have already registered to join us, we will apply that registration for the fall event but if you cannot join us on the rescheduled date, please let us know and we are happy to reimburse you. Please reach out to Katie Tillinger regarding your decision at your earliest convenience.
We can’t thank you enough for your support of the Oakland County Bar Foundation and its mission. We wish you, your families and colleagues all the best in the coming months. If you have any questions, please contact Katie Tillinger at 248-334-3400.

The OCBF Signature Event is the highlight of the spring season for many Association and Foundation members. This year over 400 members will join us on Thursday, April 30 to raise money for the Foundation and many programs they fund. Last year the event raised over $238,000 with the help of the sponsors and attendees. Proceeds allow the Foundation to fund programs of many worthy organizations such as Lakeshore Legal Aid, Beaumont Foundation, Michigan Civic Center for Education, Jewish Family Services, White Lake Police Foundation and the Oakland County Bar Association, to name a few.
