When reviewing a grant request, the Foundation considers all the criteria laid out in our guidelines. The OCBF Projects Committee regularly reviews grant applications, follows up with the applicants for answers to any questions, and then brings a recommendation to the OCBF Board of Trustees. The OCBF Board of Trustees makes the final decision on funding grants.

Do you have a legal or educational project that requires funding? The OCBF Mini Grant program may be the answer for you.

The OCBF Mini Grant program was established to fund additional programs within Oakland County and to reach more people in need. The limit for each mini grant request is $500. The application process for a mini-grant is more streamlined than the full grant application. Mini grants may be awarded at any time during the year and do not require a decision of the full board of trustees. Priority will be given to new grant applicants. The Projects Committee has authority to award up to 10 mini grants per year, depending on the level of funding available.
