The Legislative Committee works with our lobbyist and the board of directors to promote the OCBA’s position on current and pending legislation that affects the practice of law and the administration of justice.
The Legislative Committee informs the OCBA Board of Directors to take positions on issues concerning lawyers in particular and legal issues with the community general. The scope of the committee includes (1) issues bearing on the practice of law, (2) issues bearing on the administration of justice, and (3) issues that are inherently related to subject matters in which lawyers have a unique or special contribution to make in addressing the issue.
Join us on the fourth Monday of the month at 4:30 p.m. at the OCBA office.
