Solo/Small Firm Committee

Solo/small firm attorneys make up 47 percent of the OCBA's membership. The Solo/Small Firm Committee was established to empower solo practitioners and small firm attorneys by providing a forum where members can share proven law firm management strategies, exchange practical insights, and build meaningful professional connections. Through intentional networking and attorney-to-attorney referral opportunities, the committee helps members expand their practices and strengthen business development efforts. It also delivers relevant educational programming tailored to the unique challenges and opportunities faced by smaller practices.

MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Solo/Small Firm Committee of the Oakland County Bar Association is to support and advance solo practitioners and small firm attorneys by fostering peer-to-peer exchange of law firm management best practices, encouraging attorney-to-attorney referrals and business development opportunities, and providing practical, high-quality educational programming. The committee serves as a collaborative forum to strengthen professional relationships, enhance the sustainability and success of member practices, and promote excellence in the delivery of legal services within the Oakland County legal community.
