Pro Bono Mentor Match Program – Whether they are a new lawyer looking to be mentored or an experienced one willing to be a mentee, the Pro Bono Mentor Match program enhances particpants' skills and knowledge while helping out those who don't easily have access to justice. Learn more.
Become a Case Evaluator – The OCBA administers District Court Case Evaluation and evaluators are assigned over 200 cases per year. We are always looking for experienced attorneys who are interested in joining the service and helping to settle cases. Learn more.
Inns of Court – The OCBA's chapter of American Inns of Court (the “Inn”) is composed of lawyers, judges, students and other legal professionals of all levels and backgrounds. Members build and strengthen professional relationships, discuss fundamental concerns about professionalism and pressing legal issues of the day, share experiences and advice, encourage passion and dedication for the law, provide mentoring opportunities, and advance the highest levels of integrity, ethics and civility. Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) – For more than 20 years this resource has been matching callers with practicing attorneys who can answer their questions and providing attorney referrals for individuals who may not otherwise know how or where to locate a lawyer in Oakland County. Learn more.
Free Legal Aid Clinics – The OCBA and their local partners host four free Legal Aid Clinics in various Oakland County locations throughout the year. Volunteer attorneys may meet potential new clients at these events. Learn more.
Peer Referrals – What better compliment is there than to receive a client referral from a colleague? Active OCBA members often receive client referrals from other OCBA members whom they have met at trainings, meetings and events.

Speak as an Expert – The OCBA offers opportunities for you to speak as an expert in your area of practice at our professional development trainings and seminars, bench/bar conferences and committee meetings.
Get Published! – OCBA members are given the opportunity to contribute written articles for publication in LACHES, read by nearly 3,000 attorneys, judges, paralegals, law school students and other legal professionals. Learn more.
Influence Legislation – Our active Legislative Committee works to give our members, and the legal profession, a strong and influential voice on current Michigan legislation. The committee tracks bills affecting the legal profession, and makes recommendations to the OCBA board of directors.
