National Law Day of Action
Thu, May 1, 2025
12:00 PM - 12:30 PM ET
In celebration of Law Day 2025, the Oakland County Bar Association proudly joins bar associations and organizations nationwide in hosting non-partisan events where attorneys are invited to retake the Attorney’s Oath. This reaffirmation symbolizes a steadfast commitment to upholding the Constitution and defending the rule of law, judicial independence, and the integrity of the legal profession.
Law Day is an annual commemoration held on May 1st to celebrate the rule of law and cultivate a deeper understanding of the legal system.
Join members of the OCBA and other metro Detroit attorneys on May 1, 2025, at noon along LaFayette Boulevard across the street from the Theodore Levin Federal Courthouse as U.S. District Judge Bernard A. Friedman administers the oath. Samuel R. Bagentos, the Frank G. Millard Professor of Law at the University of Michigan, will also provide a keynote address.
Join us May 1st to support the rule of law! Learn more at: lawdayofaction.org.
Please note: We have been informed that gathering on the courthouse steps or on the sidewalk directly in front of the courthouse is not permitted.
