Preserving Dignity: Preparing for Legal Challenges in the Face of Dementia

The Oakland County Bar Association is pleased to partner with the Oakland County Medical Society through the establishment of the OCBA Medical/Legal Committee. The committee works to advance the relationship between the legal and medical professions in Oakland County, improve the public and the courts’ understanding of the laws that affect the practice of medicine, and to foster awareness of relevant news and legislation through open discussion and special seminars.
This year, the OCMS and the OCBA have joined with the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Michigan Chapter to present “Preserving Dignity: Preparing for Legal Challenges in the Face of Dementia.” This event will highlight some of the legal challenges facing dementia patients and their families.
